EPE(Expandable Polyethylene) is a kind of extensible Polyethylene, also knwn as pearl cotton. it is Non-crosslinked closed cell structure. the high foam polythylene product generated by extrusion of low density polythylene (LDPE) as the main raw material, made up of numerous independent bubbles. it overcomes the disadvantages offragile, deformation and poor resilience of ordinary styrofoam, it has many advantages, such as waterproof, moisture-proof, shockprooof, sound insulation, heat preservation, good plasticity, strong toughness, recycling, enviromental protection, strong impact resistance and so on, even good chemical resistance.

  EVA is made of Ethylene (E）and Vinyl Acetate(VA) copolymerization and is referred to as EVA. it is characterized by good flexibility, rubbery elasticity even at -50℃, good transparency and surface gloss, good chemical stability, good aging resistance and ozoneresistance,non-toxic. Good mixing with filler, good coloring and molding. EVA can be injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, calendering, rolling vacuum thermoforming, foaming, coating, heat sealing, welding and molding processing, can be used as bulding materials for waterproof, fireproof, sound insulation and other function.

How to distinguish EPE, EVA and Sponge:

1. Naked eye can read the differences, the color of sponge is light yellow, it is very elastic, the lightest one of the three;

2. EVA is a little hard, usually it is black color, which is heaviest among the three. Normally EPE is white, which is very easy to differentiate from sponge, sponge will restore to its original state no matter how you press it, while EPE will be concave when you press it hard with the sound of cracking.

3. EPE has wavy lines that look like a lot of foam stuck together, it's vey light.
